You're right on both counts - the mind of the little boy, and "The Woman in Red". Thank you! It's actually always terrific to hear from an "insider". It adds so much to the background of the book. Thank you.Lesahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12946133849271512083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9995206.post-90875521021461818802009-09-21T12:19:06.672-05:002009-09-21T12:19:06.672-05:00I may be an "insider" as Nevada's RL...I may be an "insider" as Nevada's RL sister (Molly), but although I'm a great fan of Anna Pigeon, I've never been a veteran mystery buff. However, I LOVE thrillers and couldn't put "13 1/2" down. Nevada's ability to get into the mind of this little boy is absolutely priceless! AND, I might add, pay particular attention to "The Woman in Red," her characterization is fabulous. Although terms used to describe the book (i.e. "butcher boy") sound very dark, I personally didn't find it nearly as dark as several of her later Anna Pigeons ("Borderline" excepted which is certainly one of her "softer, fuzzier" Anna Pigeons").Molly Barrhttp://thorpunious.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9995206.post-4974664736033475442009-09-18T12:07:13.765-05:002009-09-18T12:07:13.765-05:00You're welcome, Diane.
