Admission

This is what my dining room table looks like at the moment.

I have about five more books to read for a deadline on Wednesday, which means nothing else is getting done over the long weekend. I haven't had time to read for the blog. The cats and I are stuck on the couch together. Tomorrow, I'll have one of Sandie's posts up. But, when I don't even think about the computer until 10 PM, I don't have anything fresh to write. Stick with me. This should be the only month with a rush deadline.

Ours looks worse (piles are MUCH higher) but only for this reason: we are on the way to Florida after breakfast today, and while we're gone we are having the hall painted. We had to empty out the two bookcases and the built-in shelves, and the books had to go somewhere.

I'll try and check in while we're away.

Well, that's a stack of books! LOL

Lesa, I think we all understand that you've got lots on your plate right now. Enjoy your reading time. All of us will still be here whenever you get a chance to share something. We're not going anywhere.

P.S. My husband gave me a trip to Malice Domestic for Christmas!! I'm so excited!

We don't have a dining room table anymore therefore the piles of books have disappeared. I do have a table by my computer where I keep my latest books to read. Just read, read, read. I hope that you have enough time to enjoy!

I find it so reassuring that others have book piles as big as mine. As Kay said, we're not going anywhere.

Kay & Carol & Karen,

Thank you for your understanding! I'm enjoying these books, even though there's a deadline. And, you'll all get to find out about them close to their release dates. Some very good books there.

You're in good company. I had a table piled high with books along with some piles on my window seat. My husband recently built some shelves in a bedroom where I was able to shelve the books in alphabetical order for easier access. I am so happy with the shelves. It took about 3-4 years for this to happen. So, you have my understanding of your situation. :)
