What Are You Reading?

I had book group last night, so didn't finish my book. I'm reading Margaret Grace's Manhattan in Miniature, the latest mystery featuring Grace Porter and her granddaughter, Maddie. They head to Manhattan for a crafts show, and end up investigating a murder. And, we all know how much I love New York, so I'm enjoying the story so far.

What are you reading this week? Tell us about it, please!

I'm reading the second book in the Frieda Klein series, Tuesday's Gone, by Nicci French. Totally enjoying it!

I haven't read a Paul Levine book in quite a long time, Bill. I hope you're enjoying it.

Kay, It's always good to see names of authors I haven't read, even though I know of them. I have to confess I've never read one of Nicci French's books.

I am most of the way through Bruce De Silva's A Scourge of Vipers. I think his books get more entertaining with each one, and it certainly doesn't hurt that he has 40 years of newspaper journalism experience in his previous life. Over the weekend I finished Judith Janeway's The Magician's Daughter, the first in a series, which I definitely recommend. I was lucky enough to meet Judith at the last Sisters in Crime Norcal meeting, which piqued my interest in the book. She also has another series, which I will be looking for.

I'm reading Mary Burton's upcoming book Be Afraid.
Erika Swyler's The Book of Speculation and I'm rereading Alexandra Stoddard's You Are Your Choices.

Page! I'm a BIG Alexandra Stoddard fan. I'm not sure I've read that one, though, so I'll have to check. How are you liking The Book of Speculation?

I'm just finishing "The Intern's Handbook," a really entertaining thriller by Shane Kuhn. Next up, a women's fiction novel by April J. Moore called "Bobbing for Watermelons." I genre-hop like crazy!

Patricia, Although I specialize in mysteries, you can tell I do some genre-hopping as well. Loving the book I'm reading right now, How to Be a Heroine.

Good to know, Page.
