Thursday's Reading

So, what are you reading today? Every time I go out in the evening, as I did for the book discussion this week, it throws off my schedule. So, I'm still reading Deborah Coonts' Lucky Catch. (And, don't forget one "lucky" reader will win an ebook copy of it.)

So, tell me what you're reading today. Or, share what's on your TBR pile. What are you planning to read over the long weekend? I'd love to know what books you're reading!

I just finished The White Magic Five and Dime, the beginning (I hope) of a great new series by Steve Hockensmith with Liss Falco. Looks like I have The Mountaintop School for Dogs and Other Second Chances and Big Little Lies coming from the library this weekend, but I've just started Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan. I'm taking off Friday and Tuesday so I'm looking forward to a great weekend of reading.

I recently finished Crowded Grave, book 4 in Martin Walker's series about a police chief in a small French village. I just love it when I discover a new-to-me series with a bunch of books to catch up with.
Now I am reading Peter Pan Must Die by John Verdon. I am always waiting for him to come out with another episode in the life of Dave Gurney. His books are real puzzels and always keep me interested and guessing.

Lucky Catch sounds fun!!

I finished William Kent Krueger's "Windigo Lake," which I loved (just as I have loved all his work) and an ARC of "Dress Shop of Dreams" by Menna van Praag - which kept me hopping, kept me guessing and kept me up really late!

Next up is "Last Stop This Town" by David Steinberg.

Happy Holiday Weekend, Lesa!

Happy Holiday weekend, everyone! Wishing you lots of good reading. I'm actually making a quick overnight trip during the weekend, to see a couple members of my beloved Celtic Thunder who are touring together right now. And, I want to see The November Man. So, we'll see how much reading time I get in. But, I love seeing what everyone else is reading. There's such a variety! Diane, I'm not familiar with Martin Walker's books. I'll have to check them out. Thanks for sharing, friends!

I'm reading The Reckoning by Rennie Airth. Set in 1947 England, there are a lot of anachronisms, but it isn't too bad.

Thank you, everyone! It's good to see familiar titles, and some that I don't recognize. Always fun!

Today, I finished rereading the first adult mystery I ever read - Death Valley by Sandy Dengler. It still held up for me.

Tomorrow, I will reread The Mystery of the Headless Horseman, Trixie Belden #26.

This weekend, I plan to get into Topped Chef by Lucy Burdette.

Hi, Lesa. I'm hoping my copy of THE LONG WAY HOME will arrive tomorrow, so I can read it this weekend.

Right now I'm reading CITY OF GHOSTS by Kelli Stanley. I love it.

Not reading anything today, read 15 books in the last two weeks, but looking forward to tackling my TBR pile, I have the third Magnus Flyte book, California by Edan Lepucki, Save the Date by Mary Kay Andrews and Charlaine Harris's Midnight Crossroad to name a few. Don't think I've read any Deborah Coonts, would live to check out her new one!!!
