I've always loved Sandra Dallas's work (thus far my favorite is "Prayers for Sale") and I'm eager to read her new release.Happy weekend to you and the fuzzy ones!
I liked Prayers for Sale, Beth, but my favorites are Tallgrass and The Persian Pickle Club. I'm enjoying this one, though. The kitties are enjoying the weekend. Dickens is ecstatic that I'm home, and he's sprawled on the couch with me with his paws draped over my lap.
I'm finishing up Raymond Khoury's Rasputin's Shadow. I have two new books to start:Sweet Expectations by Mary Ellen TaylorAnonymous Sources Mary Louise KellyI'm still working on the Will Durant series Story of Civilization Vol 1.
I love Tallgrass and The Persian Pickle Club, too. I am reading Joyce Maynard's new book, After Her, today.
Page,I can believe you're still working on the Will Durant series. You need those other books for a break.
Thanks, Tina. It's nice to know someone else likes Sandra Dallas' books s much as I do. I hope you enjoy the Joyce Maynard.
Charles Todd's mystery A Question of Honor. This is a new author for me. So far it is pretty good.
I need to get around to the Charles Todd mysteries sometime, Judy. I've heard both parts of the team speak.
I am reading two:1. Five Days At Memorial by Sherri Fink. About the hospital, doctors and nurses there during Kattrina. It is very engrossing.2. Trying out a new cozy series for me; Getting Old Can Kill You. I am excited about reading a cosy with people my age!
I am struggling with having the time to read these days and it really bothers me! I'm working on The Autobiography of Jack the Ripper by James Carnac and Black Sheep by CJ Lyons. Just taking me longer to get through books, no matter how good they are.
I just started The Impersonator by Mary Miley. So far a very intriguing read.
I agree, Carol. It's nice to have more mature characters in some of the cozy mysteries.
I hate that, Karen, when I'm not finding the time to read. Sometimes I go through spurts when I don't read, but that's different from wanting to read, and not having time.
