Doors of Pittsburgh

My mom, my sisters and I made a road trip to Pittsburgh. We drove down on Thursday. After checking into the hotel, we drove to the Duquesne Incline so we could take it to the top of Mt. Washington. I have pictures of Pittsburgh to post tomorrow. Today, it's Doors of Pittsburgh.

I find photos of doors so appealing.

I do, too, Kathy. I did doors of Santa Fe when I went there, so once I found these doors decided to do doors of Pittsburgh.

Great photos. I love doors too. You found quite a variety and it looks like the weather was nice to be out and about. I think the first one is my favorite (maybe it's the pumpkins too) but love the lion door knocker as well. Thanks for sharing!

That first one is my favorite, too, Jane. That's why it's first. All those doors were on one block in Mt. Washington.

I like pictures of doors, too - great pics! Don't know why I don't think of it when I'm traveling!

My favourite us the last one because I love those white clapperboard houses, and also the 'welcome' sign. It looks like Pittsburgh has much better weather than we do - doors up here tend to be purely functional!

Thanks for this lovely collection, Lesa.

What a coincidence! We drove down to Pittsburgh from CT this weekend to visit my son at Carnegie Mellon. I thought the Duquesne Incline might be an interesting thing to do but we couldn't fit it in. But since he's a freshman I'm sure I'll have another chance. I'm looking forward to your photos.
