Winners and an Autographed Mystery Giveaway

Congratulations to the winners of this week's contest. Marian Babson's No Cooperation from the Cat will go to Carol W. from Allen, TX. Becky K. of Grayslake, IL won Donna Andrews' Some Like It Hawk. The books will go in the mail tomorrow.

This week, I have autographed books to give away. Cleo Coyle will send one lucky winner a copy of the latest book in the Coffeehouse mystery series, A Brew to a Kill. I didn't review it here because I reviewed it for But, Cleo warns there are spoilers in that review. Instead, let me just say Clare Cosi, manager of The Village Blend coffeehouse,  finds herself teamed up with an interesting investigator following a hit-and-run that Clare isn't convinced was an accident. As always, Coyle brings New York to life in a mystery that isn't so cozy despite the recipes and coffeehouse location.

Or, you could win an autographed first edition of Louise Penny's new book, The Beautiful Mystery. Those aren't so easy to find in the Phoenix area, but I bought one and had it signed to give away. Armand Gamache is the first non-religious to enter a monastery in a remote area of Quebec after one of the monks is killed there. Once again, it's a masterpiece by Penny. However, I continue to recommend that you read her books in order. I will be giving away an autographed copy of her first mystery, Still Life, in a week or two.

Which book would you like to win, A Brew to a Kill or The Beautiful Mystery? You can enter to win both, but I need separate entries. Email me at Your subject headings should read either "Win A Brew to a Kill" or "Win The Beautiful Mystery." Entries from the U.S. only, please.

The contest will close at 6 PM PT on Thursday, Sept. 13.

I entered for The Beautiful Mystery! Thanks. I usually buy a copy way in advance, but I hadn't gotten to it yet.

Good luck, Marjorie. And, if you don't win, you do want to get a copy. It's that good.
