Winners and a Carolyn Hart Giveaway

Congratulations to the winners of the last contest. L.L. Bartlett's Murder on the Mind will go to Kat B. of Winterset, IA, and Sandy G. from North Plainfield, NJ will receive Kari Lee Townsend's Tempest in the Tea Leaves. I'll put them in the mail tomorrow.

Yesterday, Carolyn Hart allowed me to mention on DorothyL and Facebook that she will be the Amelia Award recipient for Malice Domestic 25 next year, named in honor of Elizabeth Peters' Amelia Peabody. That announcement is perfect timing for this week's giveaway. I'm giving away two unusual novels, both autographed by Carolyn Hart. She sent them to me to review, then give away.

The first novel is Escape from Paris, a novel that I feel is the novel of Carolyn's heart. The book I have was not the original version published, which was much shorter. This is the one as Carolyn wrote it. The book starts in 1940 when two American sisters in Paris risk their lives to save downed British airmen from the Gestapo.

Hart's Rendezvous in Veracruz is a novel of suspense set in Mexico. Once again, it features two young women, college students, who intercept a mysterious message, and find themselves caught up in an international crime spree.

As I said, both novels are autographed. Would you like to win Escape from Paris or Rendezvous in Veracruz?  Since I can tell you that second title isn't easy to type, I'll make it easy to enter. Email me at Your subject line should read either "Win Paris" or "Win Mexico." Include your name and mailing address. Entries from the U.S. only, please.

This contest will close at 6 PM PT on Thursday, June 21. I'll pick the winners using a random number generator. Good luck!

These books both sound great! I'm always on the lookout for WWII plots, as well as mysteries with a setting in Mexico.
