Anniversary Giveaway #4

Many of you may already have read this book by one of my favorite authors, and favorite people. But, once in a while, I pick up an extra copy of Beth Hoffman's debut novel, Saving CeeCee Honeycutt, just for times like this. It gives me a chance to introduce people to a beloved book, in case you haven't yet discovered it.

If you don't know the story, I was given an advanced copy of Saving CeeCee Honeycutt to review for Library Journal. I loved the book, and wrote a review that Library Journal starred. I had never met nor heard of Beth Hoffman since this was her first book. Beth wrote me a thank you note, and we began exchanging emails. She's become a friend that I cherish.

And, I cherish this book, so it's book #4 in the anniversary giveaway. Twelve-year-old CeeCee is a child with a troubled childhood in Ohio. When tragedy hits, her great-aunt swoops in, and whisks her off to Savannah. There, CeeCee discovers a group of strong, eccentric women who take her into their hearts, and their lives. Saving CeeCee Honeycutt is about one special summer in a young girl's life, and the women who show her possibilities.

Do you want to win Saving CeeCee Honeycutt? Email me at Lesa.Holstine@gmail.com. Your subject line should read, "Win Saving CeeCee Honeycutt." Please include your name and mailing address. The winners will be announced on Thursday, Jan. 12 at 6 p.m. MT.

Wow, Lesa ... what a big surprise! I'm tickled that you selected CeeCee to help you celebrate your anniversary. Thank you so, so much.

Isn't it something that we met the way we did? I'm so glad your name was written in my "Life Book". Oletta and CeeCee are waving to you from the kitchen!

Happy Anniversary!

Waving back, Beth! Tell Oletta and CeeCee hi for me. Of course, I'd celebrate with one of your books! I'm doing favorite authors this week. There are some others, but I might not have copies of their books to give away. As I said, I pick up a copy of CeeCee when I can.

I'm glad everyone enjoyed it who commented. And, good luck, Sandy!

I love this book, Karen, and my family loved it, too. I own two copies myself, and my sister bought a copy so she could reread it when she wanted to.
