I just have to share the database I discovered this week.  If you like to keep track of the series you read, whether they're mysteries, science fiction, fantasy, romance, or children's books, you'll want to check out FictFact, at   Here's the summary from the "About Us" page.

"About Us

You read books in series.

You want to keep track of what to read next.

You want recommendations on what to read next.

You want to know when new books are coming out.

That's why you need FictFact!

FictFact is a tracking site focused on book series. Let us know what books/series you've read and we'll let you know what you need to read next and what's coming out soon. Registration is free, so let us know how you like it, and what series, books & authors we might be missing."

So far, I've been very pleased with this site.  I could find the forthcoming books in series I read.  The calendar is a terrific part of this project, showing what books will be published each date.  And, I like the profile page, where I can see what books I have coming up in the series I read, by date to be published, and in the books already published that I haven't had a chance to read yet.

And, I think you'll be impressed with the site if you want to buy a book.  It doesn't link only to Amazon or Barnes & Noble.  It links to all of these sites -

Amazon Kindle

Barnes & Noble

Book Depository

Amazon UK

Amazon CA

Better World Books

Book Depository UK

PaperBack Swap

I'm impressed with the options you have, from buying a book or an e-book, borrowing it from a library, swapping for it, or listening to it.  I do think there's a problem with the section to check by your zip code, but I may be wrong.
I know a number of you must like series.  Check it out, and, if you want to see what a profile looks like, feel free to check mine on the site, at

Have fun!

I looked up the site and it does look great but so far I haven't figured out how to pick a series and make it "my series"

Have you registed for it, Pat? You need to register, and then go to author or series. I did mine by author, clicked on the author, and then did either an entire series, said, read all, or book by book, checked them as read.

Lesa -- thanks for the spotlight...this one's been on my radar for quite a while now,and I just haven't taken the time to do an indepth explore. Looks like you just tipped me over the edge.

I only learned about it this week, Tina, from GalleyCat. And, I'm glad I found it! It's already been helpful at work.

This is a great site. It took me a while to go through it and mark all my series and then I found I had so many it was a bit daunting but I'm going to keep at it!

They will also send you an e-mail to notify You when new books from your series are being released. Great for keeping up-to-date but horrible for your book budget!

Oh how fun! This is terrific. I'm especially tickled about being able to hear when the next book in a series might be coming. Thanks, Lesa!

Lesa said...

But, Cheli. You might be able to get on the reserve list at your local public library early with this site. It will help you be close to the top of the list!

That's what I like too, knowing when the next books are due out!

Hi Lesa,

Thanks for the info concerning 'fictfact'. I'm going to have fun filling out these lists. One thing; if you make a mistake, can it be reversed?

Lesa said...

Yes! It can be reversed if you made a mistake. I know, because I made a few, Bev.

I got it figured out. It does help if you read the instructions. It is a great site and I'm glad to know about it.

I found out about this site a few months ago and I love it.

Lesa said...

It is a terrific site, isn't it, Pat. It does help to read the instructions. (smile)

Lesa said...

Beat me too it, Yvonne. If it hadn't been for GalleyCat I don't know when I would have found it.

I'm addicted to series. This looks like a good spot to feed the addiction! Thanks, Lesa.

Lesa said...

Oh, dear, KK. Another one of us. However, a recent conversation on Facebook indicates this is an addiction we have no interest in curing.

oh..this looks like a great site for those of us who prefer to read a series in order. I'm going to check it out tomorrow when I have more time.
