Berkley Prime Crime's March Cozies

With everything that happened in February, I'm a little late with my book chats, featuring Berkley Prime Crime's cozies. I hope you enjoy the chats. And, see who else likes cozy mysteries!

My sister suggested that maybe Josh could be a book "mascat." He's always fascinated by books. This month, it was Penguin's Berkley Prime Crime mysteries.

I hope you enjoy this month's mysteries as much as Josh did!

Josh NEEDS to be a mascot...you can see how badly he wants it!

I love that you featured Berkley this month! I agree about the covers...they do a GREAT job.

Looking forward to all the books you mentioned...especially looking forward to reading Jenn's new "Sprinkle with Murder" and am interested in "Motherhood is Murder" (which it is!)

I think Josh needs to be on a cover : )

Plaster and Poison sounds good to me as does Sprinkle with Murder (although the foodie cozies always make me hungry, lol). I really enjoy your videos.

I knew, with all the work I put into the video chats, that Josh would be the hit today. He was posed so beautifully when I went to get the books. I'm looking forward to reading Jenn's book, too, Elizabeth. I just have a few deadlines before I get to it.

I'm with you, Mary. The cozies involving food always make me hungry, too. I'll probably end up making cupcakes after reading Jenn's book.

Josh is adorable and does need to be the mascot. He looks as though he really didn't want you touching his books. :)

I enjoyed your video and now I have six new books to add to my wish list. I have read the prior books of a couple of the authors, but there are a couple that are new to me. Can't wait to read them.

Love your mascat!! I'm looking forward to some of these as well. I've got to get caught up on some of the series, but I think I have at least 3 of them on my Kindle. No covers in color there though. :-)

I think I'm going to read Sprinkle With Murder first though. Who wouldn't like a cupcake shop?

Josh looks quite proud of his current reading! And really, quite cozy, too...

I thought it was interesting that Josh only cared about cozy mysteries. He ignored all of the other books, Mason. I knew there would be some books here that those of us who are cozy readers would like!

I'm looking forward to Sprinkle with Murder, as soon as I finish the books I have that have deadlines, Kay.

I think Josh could handle the mascot job very well.

Yes, Josh does appear to be quite cozy and proud of his job, doesn't he, Clea?

I knew all of the comments would be about Josh!

Sorry to be so predictable, Lesa. But as much as we love books... WHAT A KITTY!

Lesa said...

I agree, Clea. And, I was proud enough of him to put the picture up, so what can I say.

And, he is the one cat who is most sensitive to moods. He's been there lately when I needed him, beginning on the very first day. He's a hugger when he knows someone needs hugs. Quite a nice cat, that Josh. He's one of my Humane Society adoptees.

Josh is the perfect mascat! He looks like he is taking his new job very seriously, too - that is a very intense look on his face!

Clearly, what you said a while back about putting a picture of a cat on your blog and people will come is definitely true, judging by the comments in this thread!

Oh - and thanks for introducing all these wonderful books. The covers are really exceptional.

Aren't the covers of the Berkley Prime Crime mysteries terrific? They're so detailed, but there are no spoilers.

Oh, I think Josh knows in Egypt he was royalty, and he takes THAT very seriously, Ingrid.

Thanks, Kris! I don't have time to do anything else, but I'm going to check it out because I'll be reading some of these cozy mysteries anyways. Thank you.

(I'm with you. Just love Berkley Prime Crime.)

Could Josh be any more regal!?! What a stunning boy he is!

What a great video - am looking forward to the release and, of course, he's a beautiful cat!

Lesa said...

Thank you, Beth! Josh and I are both quite proud of him, as evidenced by this picture. No, I don't think he could be any more regal!

Diana,

I apologize if I didn't get your last name correct. People mispronounce mine all the time, and I know how it feels. Good luck with the book!

And, thank you. I just love Josh.
