I'm trying something for the first time today, with my new camera (a gift from Jim). So, you're all guinea pigs. (Oh, and Mason? This is item #10 - I spent three and a half hours doing this on Saturday!)
I received the February batch of Penguin cozy releases too late for the Treasures in My Closet. Since so many blogs don't cover cozies, and I'm a fan, I'm doing short booktalks. Remember, I haven't had a chance to read these yet, so reviews will be out in February. But, here's a sneak peek.

Janet Rudolph, editor of Mystery Readers Journal, announced the themes for the Mystery Readers Journal in 2010. Here's the Volume 26 line-up: African Mysteries; Paranormal Mysteries; Islands; Hobbies and special interests. She's looking for "articles, reviews and Author! Author! essays for these issues. Author! Author! essays are first person, upclose and personal essays from published writers about themselves, their mysteries, and the theme connection." Janet blogs at Mystery Fanfare.
And, this is a Sunday Tidbit I'm reluctant to pass on, because I WANT TO WIN! But, I'll share the information, reluctantly. Sisters in Crime is pleased to announce the first "We Love Libraries" lottery. Monthly grants of $1,000 will be awarded from January through December 2010. At the end of each month, a winner will be drawn from entries received at our website at www.sistersincrime.org. Only U.S. libraries may enter the drawing. That link will give you all the information you need to enter. (I still want to win for my library!)
So, let me know what you think of my first try at a video. And, thanks for stopping by for Sunday Tidbits!
