Winners and a Canadian Authors Contest

Congratulations to the winners of the Wintry Books contest. Arnaldur Indridason's Arctic Chill will go to Allen B. from San Antonio, TX, and Phil M. from Rowland Heights, CA will receive Heaven's Keep by William Kent Krueger. The books will go out in the mail tomorrow.

Tuesday night I went to the Poisoned Pen for Canadian Night. Louise Penny and Peter Robinson spoke, and I brought back books for two lucky winners.

Anyone who reads this blog regularly knows Louise Penny is one of my favorite authors. I have an autographed ARC of her most recent book, The Brutal Telling, to give away. The fifth novel in the Chief Inspector Armand Gamache series takes Gamache back to Three Pines, for a mystery that will change the entire village.

Or, you could win an autographed copy of Peter Robinson's Gallows View, Inspector Alan Banks series. Banks relocated from London to Yorkshire, hoping for a quieter job, but violence isn't unique to the big city. He's forced to make difficult choices when it appears that a Peeping Tom may have escalated his crimes to murder.

Do you want Penny's The Brutual Telling or Robinson's Gallows View?
You can enter to win both, but I need separate entries for each. If you'd like to win one, email me at Email me!. If that link doesn't work for you, the email address is: Your subject line should read either Win "The Brutal Telling" or Win "Gallows View." Your message should include your mailing address. Entrants only in the U.S., please.

The contest will end Thursday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. MT. Jim will draw the winners at that time. The winners will be notified, and the books will go out in the mail on Friday. Good luck!

Peter Robinson's series with Alan Banks is definitely one of the best ones around. I always look forward to reading the next one. They are all well written and have well developed and interesting recurring characters.
