September @ The Teague

September brings us an interesting schedule of Authors @ The Teague, appearing at the Velma Teague Library. Since a couple of them were late additions to the schedule, I thought I'd write and mention them. I hope you can join us for one or all of the programs.

Wed. Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. - Jennifer Lee Carrell, author of the suspense novel, Interred with Their Bones. It's The Da Vinci Code with a Shakespearian slant written by a Shakespearian scholar. Books will be available for sale.

Mon., Sept. 15 - 10 a.m. - The Big Read - This year's selection is The Maltese Falcon by Dashiell Hammett. We'd like everyone to read it, but even if you don't, you might find the discussion interesting. We've added mystery writer Betty Webb as the discussion leader.

Sat. Sept. 20 - 2 p.m. - The Southwest Crime Ink Group, made up of mystery authors Elizabeth Gunn, Susan Cummins Miller, J.M. Hayes, and Margeret Falk (J. Carson Black) will discuss their work, and sign books. Again, books will be for sale.

Thank you to The Poisoned Pen Bookstore who supplies the books for the author appearances.

The Velma Teague Library is at 7010 N. 58th Ave., Glendale, AZ 85301. Call 623-930-3431 for further details.

I hope to see you at one of our programs! We have wonderful authors scheduled for the rest of the year. I'll be in touch!
