What Are You Reading?

I did some intense reading this week, preparing to lead the online discussion for Louise Penny's ninth book, How the Light Gets In. So, my other reading was nonexistent the last couple nights. Now, I'm reading Empty Mansions: The Mysterious Life of Huguette Clark and the Spending of a Great American Fortune. It's the selection for Monday night's book club. If I'm running a little behind, or sounding a little breathless as I try to keep up this week, I am.

So, while I'm playing catch-up, what are you reading this weekend? I'd love to know!

I'm in the midst of Hilary Mantel's Bring Up The Bodies published in 2012, it is her sequel to Wolf Hall.

I'll tune in to your leading of the Three Pines/Gamache discussion, Lesa. I don't usually comment, just read, (and think) but I will probably say a little something just so you know I'm there.

Right now I'm reading a couple of books. Ellery Adams' Murder in the Mystery Suite and Death under the Venice Moon by Maria Grazia Swan.

I am the new kid here, just signed up. Reading We All Burn, John Dolan, very intense, maybe because I tend to read books written by women?

Welcome, Maria. I tend to read more books by women, too.

I finished reading Ellery Adams' Murder in the Mystery Suite - loved it! And am now reading an ARC of Tana French's The Secret Place. Two of my favorite authors.

I am loving Crabby Cook. So far, it's one of the best books from Penny Warner/Penny Pike.

I read Empty Mansions several months ago. Like you, I was left feeling sad. Hugette Clark's life could have been so full and fulfilling to others. She did choose the life she wanted, but I keep wondering why she wanted that life.
