What are you reading?

So, raise your hand if the Olympics have distracted you from your reading this week.

That's me raising my hand. I should have finished another book tonight, but I'm still reading Kylie Logan's A Tale of Two Biddies. I'm sorry. I have always loved the stories behind the athletes. I can read and half-listen to the Olympics. But, when the athlete's story is interesting, I listen. There's a reason I'm a reader. I love stories.

So, what are you reading today or what has distracted you?

I haven't been reading as much as usual during the Olympics either. I just got First-Degree Murder by M.L. Rowland from the library so I'm going to start that.

The last 2 weeks have been too busy to focus on the Olympics and I usually don't find them very compelling anyway.
Currently I'm reading The Wrong Girl by Ryan. I think this second book is much better than The Other Woman, altho I'm still having a little trouble warming up to the main character.

I love the Olympics - and Jimmy Fallon! - so I'm doing jigsaw puzzles and watching instead of reading!

I'm reading 3 ARC's that I've received this week.

Kill Fee by Owen Laukkanen
When Shadows Fall by J. T. Ellison
Notorious by Allison Brennan

Distracted by the Olympics. Current read is the latest in the Joe Pickett series titled STONE COLD. I was lucky enough to win an ARC of this via LibraryThing.

So three of you not distracted by the Olympics, and four of us (including me) who have been watching. I needed the nap today. Too much TV, and I usually don't watch that much or stay up that late. I love to see what everyone is reading, though! Thank you.

I enjoy the Olympics, especially skiing events and skating. Just finished Silent Voices by Ann Cleeves. It was good. I went to EBay to find the first book in this series.

LOL I have been reading during the salom and bobsledding (except last night)and watching the half pipe and ice skating. Therefore, I just finished "Cutted Chicken in Shanghai which the author sent me to review. 5 stars!! I will be starting Valentine by Patricia Blackwell.

Also, I am on a contest ban! I have won so many books through giveaways that they are piling up everywhere. I stopped buying books but now I have to stop entering for at least a while! This is torture!

The Olympics distract me? I have no idea what I'm talking about.

I'm finally starting the Cat in the Stacks mysteries and am working on Murder Past Due.

Now, if I can get the Olympics off my DVR, maybe I can get it finished today.

Getting ready for Left Coast Crime: "The Last Death of Jack Harbin," by Terry Shames; "How the Light Gets In," by Louise Penney; and "A Serpent's Tooth" by Craig Johnson. So looking forward to seeing these and all the authors in Monterey!

I'm reading an Ann Cleeves right now, Judy. But, I have a few others to read, including one for a review due tomorrow.

Oh, Carol! I can't say I'm sorry you've had good luck, though. (grin) Congratulations! And, I understand the torture.

I hope you like Murder Past Due, Mark. One of my favorite series, for obvious reasons - a librarian and a cat.

Me, too, Leemarie! Can't wait for LCC!
