Even if you don't win there, two lucky readers have the chance to win recent mysteries here. I read and reviewed both of them, so I have ARCs (Advance Readers Copies) to give away.
I'm starting with a gritty international police procedural, one of my favorite series. Perfect Hatred is the latest Chief Inspector Mario Silva book by Leighton Gage. Silva and his team of Brazil's federal police handle two complex cases simultaneously. One involves a Muslin suicide bomber who left sixty-seven dead, mostly women and children. But, Silva is yanked from that case to look into the assassination of a popular political candidate. Just a warning. As much as I appreciate Gage's books, they are not for the faint of heart.
Or you could win Deborah Coates' Deep Down. I said I was uncertain if I should call this a mystery, horror or suspense, but Coates' first book is up for a Bram Stoker award. IIn Deep Down, a former Afghanistan veteran died and was resuscitated, only to discover she could see ghosts. Now, when black dogs, harbingers of death appear, and long-past car accidents are reenacted, Hallie Michaels must face hell itself to save her loved ones.
These titles are a little different. You can enter to win one or both, but I need separate entries for each. Email me at Lesa.Holstine@gmail.com. Your subject heading should read either, "Win Perfect Hatred" or "Win Deep Down." Please include your name and mailing address. Entries from the U.S. only, please.
My giveaway will end Frdiay, March 15 at 6 p.m. I'll mail the books on Saturday.
