I'm sorry. I hate to make all of you verify yourself in order to post comments on my blog, but there has been way too much spam here lately. I feel as if the blog has been under attack from spammers. I'm not the only one. I noticed it on a friend's site as well.

I've noticed the spam on various sites as well.
I don't know why it's been able to get past the spam blockers all of a sudden. Blogger used to have terrific spam blockers.
The spam seems to be getting much worse on a variety of sites. Verification is a good thing right now.
I agree - have been seeing a lot more spam lately. No problem with the verification.
I'm glad you're doing this. I got a dozen comments on one post all offering various drugs, so I finally unsubscribed from the post. I thought a short comment recently was kind of OK until he signed it with **** enhancement. So while it's a bummer, I'm sure we all understand. I just have to take a hundred tries befoe I get the words!! Sandie
