Penguin Group (USA) & July Book Releases

I have a treat for some of the readers who appreciate the book chats featuring Penguin's Berkley Prime Crime and Obsidian. The chat with the forthcoming books for July features Jinx. I don't know how many people have told me they enjoy the book chats, but they really enjoy it when one of the cats has a featured role.

Today's chat stars Jinx, the youngest cat, and eleven new mysteries. Enjoy!

I've added a couple of more titles to my list to keep a watch for! I have 3 of them preordered already from Amazon though.
Jinx adds alot to this.

This is a good looking batch of books, isn't it, Caryn? And, Jinx likes to be on the table anytime I'm there. I was there first!

I'm looking forward to Deliciuos and Suspicious, and to The Long Quiche Goodbye. Looks like Jinx is favoring Death by Diamonds!

Even though I get an email from Berkley with the monthly mysteries, I thoroughly enjoy the way you bring all these titles to life, Lesa.

Need to start reading quickly so I'll be ready to pick up the July titles when they're out--especially The Long Quiche Goodbye.

Give Jinx a pat on the head for me!

Ingrid,

I'm looking forward to the same titles you mentioned. Who knows with Jinx? I know Josh prefers fantasy.

Thank you, Marcia. I'm glad you enjoy the monthly chats. I'll tell Jinx tonight that everyone is talking about him.

Wow, Lesa, there are a lot of books coming out in July. You could just read those and still maybe not finish. I see a couple I'm interested in, more than a couple really, but there are so many series out there now. I'm having to be selective. Thanks for sharing!

You're right, Kay. Tons of series right now! And, I'm a fan of series, so it makes it tough. Good luck!

Gee, could this have been a more perfect video, with Jinx nosing around "Feline Fatale"? Loved it.

If there is a tv or movie version, maybe he could audition.

He certainly has a nose for murder(!)

Enjoy reading.

Love that, Kathy, "a nose for murder!" I'm glad you liked Jinx' starring role. I originally tried it with a tablecloth for a little different background, but he pulled it off the table, so I had the feeling he wanted to participate.

I loved this video. Can't wait for the release of the culinary cozies!

Lesa said...

Thank you, Pattie! There's quite a nice selection of books for July.

Thanks so much for this, Lesa. I am waiting for the July books too, as reader, not just a writer. Truffle and Sweet Marie, the fictional mini-dachshunds in Closet Confidential, have never been that close to a cat. For once, they behaved. Hurray for Jinx!

Mary Jane,

I'm sure Jinx is bigger than the mini-dachshunds. He's quite large for his age, so I think Truffle and Sweet Marie were probably a little intimidated. It's a great looking batch of books. Good luck with Closet Confidential!

Wonderful intro to all the books, so many books...you know the quote, I'm sure. Just to tell you that libraries have been my refuge, my bar, and the first place I always found when I moved-all thanks to people like you. I liked Jinx helping you out, my cat reads blogs along with me; they do like to be the center of attention, don't they?

What a nice note, Lil! Thank you. I'm glad libraries have been your "third place." Yes, those beloved cats do like to be right in the middle of the action.

Can't believe I missed this on Monday! You can tell what my Monday was like. :) Thanks so much for featuring my book along with the other exciting July releases! I can't wait for Avery's and Mary Jane's books, either. :)

And please let Jinx continue to make cameos. :) Black cats and mysteries go together!

Lesa said...

Hi Elizabeth!

Getting ready for that release date, all of your blogging, family life. I can believe you miss a blog now and then, Elizabeth. You're welcome. I'm looking forward to your books. And, Jinx and the other cats are welcome to make cameos. Everyone seems to enjoy the cats' roles as much as the books!

Lesa,
This video is great! And thanks for featuring LAST WRITES and THE LONG QUICHE GOODBYE, both wonderful reads!

Best,
Dana

Lesa said...

You're welcome, Dana. I haven't read any of them yet, but I'm looking forward to the July books.

It's only July 9, and I'm already behind, Kris. (sigh) Lots of good books.
