Best of Lists - Happy New Year!

Kaye, a friend at Meanderings and Muses, mentioned how much she likes all of the "best of" lists that come out at the end of the year. So, I sent her the following lists for the end of the year.

I've already done the top 10 mysteries of the year, which I really would have liked to make top 12 or 15.

So, here are this year's discoveries - in various categories.

Favorite mystery series debuts -
Leighton Gage
Liz Zelvin
Julie Hyzy
Sandra Ruttan

Favorite return of a missing mystery series -
Les Roberts' Milan Jacovich in King of the Holly Hop

Favorite debut of a new mystery series by an author with a long-running one -
Betty Webb's The Anteater of Death

Favorite discovery of a long-running series -
Steven F. Havill's Posadas County mysteries

Favorite juv crime novel -
Chris Grabenstein's The Crossroads

Favorite reprint - (non-mystery)
My Lady of Cleves by Margaret Campbell Barnes

Favorite novels - (non-mystery)
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Schaffer & Annie Barrows

The Last Queen by C.W. Gortner

Favorite picture book -
Bats at the Library by Brian Lies

Happy New Year, Everyone! I'm raising my glass of sparkling cider to a good reading year in 2009 for everyone! I hope we make new discoveries, and find old favorites. 2008 has been a good reading year.

(Happy New Year from Syndey, Australia. It's already 2009 there, and I won't be up at midnight in Arizona - grin.)

To you, too, Jen. And, I can tell by the books in my TBR pile that it's going to be a good year!

It is fun to see everyone's best of lists this time of year, I agree. Your blog is always a great one for finding the new authors to try!

I hope to read Schaffer and Barrows book one of these days. I've heard such great things about it.

I hope you have a wonderful New Year!

Happy New Year! You've got some good authors and books listed. I've added more and more to my TBR unending list. GUERNSEY makes my #1 book of the year. My favorite mystery of the year was Karin Slaughter's FRACTURED, with COLD DISH by Craig Johnson as a close 2nd.

Thanks for highlighting a new blog for me to check in with as well. I've assuming this is Kaye from Boone on the DorothyL list?

Kay,

Yes, it is Kaye from Boone. Always willing to enable readers to find more books. (grin)

Yes, I think Guernsey was my #1 book. And, I didn't read Fractured, but Jim loved it.

When taking Nolvadex, you should read the information section of the prescription bottle and of the drug every time you have the prescription re-administered. buy nolvadex no prescription It prevents the effects of estrogen in the body by blocking the way it interacts with cancerous tumors. Try to avoid activities that could result in severe bruising as the bleeding and bruising caused may be more difficult than normal to heal.
